"The Vintage Motor Cycle Club, with over 17,000 Members, united by a common appreciation of the engineering skills and vision of those who built the pioneer machines, has ensured that such machines are not preserved as lifeless exhibits in a museum, but are brought to life on frequent occasions in order that a new generation can marvel at the handiwork of the pioneers, and an older generation can once again view with nostalgia the machines they rode in days gone by."

VMCC Pennine Section's Bi-ennial Flagship Event

The VMCC Pennine Section's 2 day, 250 mile run on 9th & 10th July 2016

The event starts at Edale in Derbyshire and the first day involves 150 miles of mainly high-level moorland roads, in rugged countryside, to an overnight stop at Hawes in North Yorkshire. An optional evening social will be held at the Wensleydale Creamery for participants and their guests. On the Sunday a further 100 miles of similar roads will take us to the Greenhead Hotel where a get-together is organised before everyone departs for home. Please see the section’s website at www.penninevmcc.org.uk and click on the events tab for more information, entry form, accommodation list, and to view a slide show of scenes from the route, plus a video of the ride over the spectacular Buttertubs pass can be viewed through this link https://vimeo.com/34328943 We usually have around 100 riders on the event on machines ranging from veteran to 25 years old. Sorry, but we can’t take entries on the day on an event of this size.
