Made in Camberley, Surrey, by James H. T. Smith cycle maker, at either 9 or 11, London Road depends whether you believe Kelley’s Directory (11) or the 1901 Census (9) he was a widower but with 5 sons and 1 female servant (15).

The name James came about when I found the Firm of J. H. Smith was listed in Kelley's Directory , from 1898 until the early 1930's , possibly going out of business during the depression , the initial ‘J’ stood for James not John as first thought, James Smith was borne in Corfu but as a ‘’British Subject’’ was probably son of a soldier over there.
