Description

A return run of 80 miles along mostly good B & C roads through picturesque villages in Norfolk and Suffolk to Parham Airfield. Parham Airfield Museum is situated on an old World War II United States Air Force Station. The Museum consists of two separate museums that join together to show how this corner of rural Suffolk was affected by the War in two very different ways. The 390th Bomb Group Memorial Air Museum pays tribute to the 740 servicemen killed or 'Missing in Action' from this airfield and the further 754 who were taken as Prisoners of War. The Museum of the British Resistance Organisation provides an insight into 'Britain's Secret Army', with contemporary artefacts housed in the Nissen Huts and a unique replica secret underground bunker. The Museum aims to shed light on "Britain's best-kept war secret".  The Museum has a large modern tea room which serves hot and cold drinks and light refreshments. 

Entrants should be aware that there will be no 'back up' on this run.

Tuesday Evening Pub Meet

An informal gathering, please meet at the pub. Between April and September, there are Tuesday evening informal meetings at a different pub each week, except for club nights on the first Tuesday, which are always at the Hunters Hall. Riders congregate at the venues from around 6.00pm to 7pm (earlier in spring and autumn). All are welcome. There are no charges made at any of our normal meetings, but we do usually request a purely voluntary donation to the County Air Ambulance Trust and Prostate Cancer UK, the Section's two charities.
